Fund RaiserIt's time for our annual fund raiser! Come join us on May 30th, 2009 at Fairview High School pavilion from 10:00 AM to 3:00PM. There will be food, games for the Kids, Fire Safety Demonstrations, Auction and more. At 1:00PM we will have the drawing for a $250.00 Wal-Mart Gift Card raffel. Fairview 2nd Grade Fire SafetyWe were recently invited to the 2nd grade class room at Fairview to speak to the children about fire safety. As part of the class we asked the children to draw us a picture about something they learned in the class. The class focused on the importance of a fire escape plan for their home and they were given information to bring home along with sheets to plan and draw their escape route and pick the safe meeting place. The pictures they drew are available here. We would like to thank Fairview School and their Teacher for inviting us.

Allen Parish Fire District 3  Consisting of 4 stations, Grant, Mittie, Palestine and Black Jack, 7 Apparatus, and over the years many dedicated volunteer members. Severing a population of 1900 residents and covering 166.5 square miles. APFD3 responds to approximately 100 calls a year ranging from House fire’s and auto accidents to medical calls and everything in between.

Simplicity Drop Side Cribs Recalled by Retailers Due to Risk of Death from Suffocation
The crib's plastic hardware can break or deform, causing the drop side to detach. When the drop side detaches, it creates space between the drop side and the crib mattress. Infants and toddlers can roll into this space and become entrapped which can lead to suffocation.
